We need to hold tolerances of +.015" and +.020" for material that is 48" to 80" in length. The equipment needed must also be custom designed to match our production specs. What would you suggest?

Contech's Servo Sheeter can be custom designed to match any production specifications. It is fast and versatile, capable of sheeting a variety of materials, while still holding tight tolerances. The Servo Sheeter includes a drive system which is duty-rated for 24 hour, 7 days a week operations.

How do I control post lamination curling?

Post lamination curl is created when incorrect web tension is present in the laminate or material webs. Generally, the ends of the sheet will curl toward the tighter surface.

How do I control static issues?

Static can be reduced, and in some cases eliminated. Depending on the type of material, feed rate and ambient conditions, a variety of static control devices are available. Static may be removed from the material web using a hot bar or metallic tensile or an area may be flooded with ionized air.

We are trying to improve efficiency in cutting different types of padding and linings made of cotton, polyester and nylon. Presently we are doing this by hand. What kind of machine would speed this process up?

Custom design a Contech system which would include a Contech Econo Sheeter and a Roll Unwind System. The Econo Sheeter is an air operated scissor shear sheeter equipped with electronic controls. The roll unwind can be designed to handle various weights and diameters of roll or materials. It is a simple and economical system.
