The hydraulic system powers a press to cut material sheets, utilizing a platen and an automatic feed table. Key functions include:
- Hydraulic Power Generation: An electronically controlled variable displacement pump, driven by an electric motor in a remote unit, generates hydraulic power. Valves direct and control the flow of hydraulic oil, which cylinders convert into movement and cutting force for the press platen and feed table.
- Press Platen Operation: In manual mode, with the pump activated and the safety circuit enabled, the platen can be jogged upward, raised to a full-up position, or cycled for cutting. An encoder tracks the platen’s position, reset to zero at full-up. The platen can be jogged to stop blocks to set the fully closed cutting position via the operator screen. During a press cycle, the platen ascends at standby pressure, switches to high pressure for the cutting dwell when fully closed, and then lowers to the full-open position. The feed table must be fully inside the press cavity before upward platen movement is permitted.
- Feed Table Movement: The automatic feed table transports material sheets into and out of the press cavity with precise control over speed, acceleration and deceleration. When exiting the cavity, the table accelerates to a preset speed and decelerates smoothly as it approaches the exit position. When entering, it accelerates, slows to a preset lower speed at the deceleration point, and continues decelerating to stop at the end of its travel within the press cavity.

Tolerance: The feed table holds +/- .00075 in the X and Y axis on each cycle to reduce rejects and wasted materials.

Power: 220 volt 3Phase 60 Htz, 480 Volt 3 Phase 60 Htz, custom voltages available. .
Control: Touch screen HMI with setting for dwell, height, dwell, and self diagnostics. PLC control Tonnage is done with a dbd valve on the front panel.
