Rotary Die Cutter

The system is composed of four main modules: a Rotary Die Cutting module, a Conveyor module, a Vacuum Pump module, and a Vacuum Filter module. The Rotary Die module accepts rolls of material in one of two unwinds and cuts the material into pads.  The ladder that is created when the pads are cut from the web is rewound onto a rewind spindle.  Provision for splicing a new roll of material onto the previous one is incorporated with a splice station.  The Conveyor module takes the pads away from the rotary cutter and presents them for collection.  The Vacuum Pump module provides the high level of vacuum necessary for the rotary die to hold onto the cut hexagonal slugs prior to ejection.  The Vacuum Filter module sucks the numerous slugs away from the rotary die and collects them into a bin.
